The producer thankfully warned in advance that this is NOT like the movie, I expected the stars to actually perform in the musical, not simply appear on stage, sing a song, and then exit. It was misleading to claim that Dave Hollister and Marsha Ambrosius were STARRING in the musical, as they only sang a song and then left the stage. Uncertain about the duration of Marsha Ambrosius's tour due to her significant pregnancy. MC Lyte did not make an appearance. The Growlers and Chrisette were enjoyable and did a great job. The audience, however, was at times rude and obnoxious, resulting in four fights during the performance, causing cast members to briefly leave the stage and resume after a 20-minute delay. They were also skilled at improvising when needed, which was timely and impressive.
